Inspired self appraisal...

A BEAUTIFUL STORY
A little boy went to a telephone booth which was at the cash counter of a store and dialed a number.
The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy : "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?
Woman : (at the other end of the phone line) "I already have someone to cut my lawn."
Boy : "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price than
the person who cuts your lawn now."
Woman : I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.
Boy : (with more perseverance) "Lady, I'll even sweep the floor and the stairs of your house for free.
Woman : No, thank you.

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store Owner : "Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."
Boy : "No thanks,
Store Owner : But you were really pleading for one.
Boy : No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking to!"

This is called

"Self Appraisal"

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

 2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

 3. Add 5

 4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1760 ..
 If you haven't, add 1759..

6... Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

 The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2010) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.
 Chocolate Calculator.

Virgo Outlook 2010

Whew! Feel that enormous burden sliding off of your shoulders, like you've been carrying around an overstuffed backpack for the last couple of years? That would be Saturn, planet of structures and limitation, moving out of your sign. Congratulations, first of all, on having simply made it through more or less in one piece. You passed through the fire and made it out the other side.

Now, what to do with that spiritual Medal of Honor you've earned? Well, for one thing, establish who it is you really are with both yourself and those around you. Your ability to quietly endure both the big and little outrages of life have served you well in the last couple of years, and many of those around you may have come to assume that either it wasn't as rough on you as it was, or that you are somehow made of steel. In fact, you may have come to the same conclusion yourself. Virgo has a reputation for being able to take care of others with the best of them -- but can you turn that same care and attention on yourself? That's the big question you'll be facing in 2010.

The good news (beyond simply less bad news) is that there will be all kinds of opportunities opening up for you in new directions as far as fun, recreation and romance. So take advantage of those whenever you can. You've earned it!

Do u find it hard to control ya temper like i do?

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his tem per at all.

He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. But It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Remember that friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.'

mind mapping

Source: Student Accountant, Aug 08

1 Magic maps
Mind maps are diagrams which help you organise your thoughts visually – portraying words, facts or things to do, helping solve problems, write essays, and store and recall pieces of information. Linking words and ideas in a loose, circular format around major themes, and then into sub-groups, is effective because the brain works by association. Experts say mind mapping makes information easier to remember and makes studying more enjoyable.

2 In class

Mind mapping has applications beyond simply revising. Many students use them when listening in lectures, as an abbreviated form of notes, and say it helps them to focus on only the most important ideas, without having to write down every single word. After the lecture, the graphical form of the mind map will aid recall when writing up more formal notes for future revision – as your brain has ‘photographed’ the image produced, and linked the image to what you have heard.

3 Map making
To construct a mind map, take a blank, landscape piece of paper (the larger the better) and start in the centre, writing your central theme (eg ‘ethics’) in capitals – but without boxing it in (the idea is that the word forms its own shape). Let your mind wander, allowing the image to stimulate associations. Use lower case as you branch out and link up more words. As new ideas appear, permit yourself to start new ‘branches’ even if you haven’t completed others – you can always go back.

A product from north east province of Cambodia

Buying Cambodian products is the best way to help promote and enhance Cambodian living standard!
...............While arriving at Kratie, you would not miss to buy the tasteful Nem, roll made of hashed fish meat wrapped and cooked in banana leaves, for your families, friends, or colleagues. NEM can be eaten as a snack or with rice according to one's interest. Some people who prefer eating NEM said NEM in Kratie is tastier than that in Battambang. Thus, let's see how NEM is made in Kratie province. In Kroko Village, 3km north of Kratie town (www.tourismindochina.com/kratie-attractionsite.htm), Aunty MEX told us about how to make NEM. She produced NEM for sale as a family business with the help of her daughter and two sons whenever they are free from their study. She said she could make NEM with an average 500 per day and it costs 100 Riel per NEM. However, she could make more than that depending on the customers' demand. First, we have to ensure that all ingredients are ready to be used for making NEM.The main element of NEM is fish meat; kind of fish depends on the fish availability and one's interest. The other ingredients are toasted rice, ginger, star gooseberry leaves, banana leaves, chilies, sugar, salt and seasoning. The fish meat is shredded or crushed, and mixed with toasted rice, ginger, sugar, salt and seasoning. Hashed fish meat is rolled into small ones with chili slice and star gooseberry leaves. At last, they are wrapped in banana leaves and tied with wire. One day later, NEM is ready for eating.

By Khmer Product Promotion Team. See Original post

Actually, Nem is one of my favorite food. Unfortunately, i haven't tasted different kinds from different provinces of Cam. What i usually eat are those from Battambang province, the fish one...If any of u happen to have any Nem from elsewhere,,don't forget to share me na.....:P

Shortcut 2 [Success]

It seems like there is no shortcut to anything!!!! Well, no matter what these sentences are more than a shortcut.
PLAN while others are playing.
STUDY while others are sleeping.
DECIDE while others are delaying.
PREPARE while others are daydreaming.
BEGIN while others are procrastinating.
WORK while others are wishing.
SAVE while others are wasting.
LISTEN while others are talking.
SMILE while others are frowning.
COMMEND while others are criticizing.
PERSIST while others are quitting.
